Our Mission and Vision

AARV Wheels For Warriors is dedicated to enhancing the lives of veterans by providing essential mobility aids. Our mission is to ensure that every veteran has access to the resources they need to lead a fulfilling life. We envision a world where no veteran is left waiting for the support they deserve. Our team is committed to serving those who have served us, driven by our core values of compassion, integrity, and community support.

John Meyer is the Founder and President of Adopt a At Risk Veteran (AARV), a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to restoring dignity, independence, and hope to veterans facing some of life’s toughest challenges. As a US Army veteran who served in the military police, John brings a lived understanding of the sacrifices service members make and the struggles many face when they return home.

Drawing on his own experience in uniform, John has developed and leads multiple programs that meet veterans where they are—addressing critical needs from mobility and access to everyday quality of life. His flagship initiative, the Wheels for Warriors program, provides electric scooters and wheelchairs to at‑risk veterans who would otherwise go without. Each delivery is more than a piece of equipment; it is a powerful message that every veteran is seen, valued, and not forgotten.

John’s leadership blends strategic vision with hands‑on compassion. He forges strong partnerships with donors, volunteers, and community organizations, then personally champions each project from planning through delivery. Through AARV and Wheels for Warriors, he invites others to join him in making a real and lasting difference in veterans’ lives; one restored sense of freedom, one renewed sense of dignity, and one grateful veteran at a time.
